Day 1ish

OKAY-this wasn't really day one. For the last year I've been jogging and walking a fair amount. I probably jog about 12 miles a week, and walk another 15. But this is extremely slow. Some buff guy on the internet said its a good way to burn fat and I took his advice. And maybe he's onto something. My mass hit its high water mark at about 195 in December of 2012. Today I'm at 182. In high school I was at like 165. I think my race weight should be about 175--but we'll see. A lot of people say muscle weighs more than fat, but I doubt they have ever bothered to actually weigh it out. Anyways, today was my first day of training for this goal. Here's what went down. 4-mile walk 1.5 mile jog to track 10x200m at 32-36s 1.5 mile job back Jesus Lord this was hard. My first 200m was about a 35. I thought for sure I had broken 30 I was in a sprint. I was able to run all ten in under 37 (with about 2 minutes of rest) but I was overwhelmed with this new consciousness of just how hard this will be. 5:00 pace is very, very fast. Cool side note, when I was done I fucking dead. My legs were shaking. I was walking on a basketball court and decided to try and touch the rim. I haven't been able to do this in years, and since I was so tired I kind of thought it would be funny to barely get the net. But I got it easily. Fuck Allah, give all glory to Sean T. I'm going to run my first time trial within a week. Hoping for a 5:45.
